Ellie and Eric's Birthday Party at Dairy Queen

Eric celebrated his 30th Birthday and Ellie celebrated her 3rd birthday at Dairy Queen this year with family and friends. Everyone had lots of pizza, ice cream cake and blizzard bites. And Ellie's theme for the day turned out to be Accessories, Accesories, Accesories :-). Thanks to all who joined us. We had lots of fun!

Ellie's Birthday Dinner at The Kid's Table

Ellie, Eric, Beata, Todd, Elsa and I went to the Kid's Table for a family cooking class for Ellie's birthday dinner. Elsa and Ellie had so much fun chopping veggies, shredding cheese, and mixing up the ingredients to make our individual size servings of macaroni and cheese. Then they took a little break and put together and ate some yummy salad kabobs (veggies on a stick dipped in ranch dressing). And wrapped up the evening making and eating chocolate chip cookies. So much fun for little and big kids.

Love The Look

Just wanted to share Ellie's outfit today. Not everyone can pull off the plaid skirt and striped tights look but Ellie rocks it! Enjoy!

So later in the day, Ellie has added to her outfit the Dinosaur Hat she has made during story time at the library. The perfect accessory to her outfit.

Eric's Birthday Surprise and what we've been up to the last 2 months.

Okay - it has been FOREVER since I posted anything here. Thank you, Erin for reminding me. I don't know where the time has gone. In January we had the Urban Gardens Progressive Dinner and a trip down to Champaign for the Illini-Indiana basketball game. Illini won - woo hoo! But we stayed in the same hotel as the Indiana players so Eric had some fun over the weekend, too. In February we had a party for the Super Bowl and made a last minute trip down to Tucson to help Mom and Dad move into their new place. Apparently I was averse to pictures during this time period because I did very little documenting of any of these activities.

We did finish February up with a big bang. Eric is turning 30 on March 12th (Yes, that's right, 3-0) so I threw him a surprise party a little early to throw him off. And it worked. He was definitely surprised. Here are a few pics from the evening.
